I’m very pleased to say that I’ve just had it confirmed this week that one of my pictures was Highly Commended in the inaugural USA Landscape Photographer of the Year Competition!
In his congratulatory email, Charlie Waite (the most famous landscape photographer in the world today) said that the competition had attracted a large number of entries of a very high standard and that there was a wonderful variety of images entered from all over the world. Entries were received from photographers in Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom and the USA.
He continued: “We are delighted to inform you that during the final round of judging, by some of the greatest eyes in Landscape Photography today (Art Wolfe, David Muench, Christopher Burkett, Tim Fitzharris, Marc Adamus, Miriam Leuchter and Charlie Waite) your finalist image has been awarded a Highly Commended.”
