In April I learned that my picture Elephant Greeting, Maasai Mara, Kenya had won second prize in the Art Has No Borders International Art Competition. One of the judges wrote as follows about Elephant Greeting: “A beautiful, candid shot, full of narrative and feeling. I love the symmetry of the mothers and calves on either side, and the hot air balloons also add a certain quality. The pale lavender sky really emphasises the ochre foreground. Lovely.”
