AMAZING NEWS!
I learned yesterday that I’ve been selected to be one of four Artists in Residence at the Jarfo Gallery in Kyoto next year!
I am absolutely thrilled to bits and very grateful to the selectors.
The residency programme is for three weeks in April, so it should be a good time for cherry blossoms!
The Gallery sponsors our accommodation for three weeks, help us navigate the city a bit, introduce us to local people of interest, etc.
We had to submit a proposal for artwork that we intend to produce during the three weeks and I’ll be concentrating on landscape and street photography. My friend David Bevan has challenged me to do justice to the tranquility of the temple landscapes, so expect pictures in that vein when I get back.
This link has the reports of the artists who were on the programme last year.
