I had a great red deer photography workshop yesterday at Richmond Park. Heather Buckley (RHS Photographer of the Year 2013) joined me as we went in search of the season’s finale of rutting behaviour. No roaring this time but we did see a lot of antler rubbing and a couple of skirmishes; however, the latter didn’t last long and were somewhat obscured by the tall grass. Still, we managed to capture some great pictures of the deer in the wonderful setting of Richmond Park, which is currently draped in autumn colours. I’ve posted some of my pictures from yesterday’s workshop below and you can see Heather’s favourite from the day on her Facebook page.
My next deer workshop will be on the 4th of January 2015 — click here for details and to book.
