Description
This is a pack of five art cards of an original photograph by Adriaan van Heerden.
This image of cherry blossoms (sakura) floating on a pond over a tree reflection at the Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto captures something of the essence of sakura season in Japan. The arrival of the sakura (usually in early April) heralds the start of a period of intense celebration followed by reflection on mortality and the transience of beauty.
The picture won first prize for photography in the ArtGemini International Art Competition 2015.
The card size is A5 and the cards come with individual envelopes and cellophane wrappers.
The inside is blank.
