I spent a wonderful day exploring the London Wetland Centre yesterday. With plenty of wildlife (and hides to observe them from) this is a really great place for some exciting nature photography, which is why I’ll be running a nature photography workshop there on 23 November.
LWC is a great place to see otters as well as lots of birds, both native and migratory. There is also an abundance of butterflies, dragonflies and damselflies, and — if you’re really lucky — you might even spot the odd vole!
The Centre has a wonderful wild area of meandering paths and reedbeds which they call “Wildside”, and I must say it’s truly amazing to have such an amazing wetland right in the heart of London!
The workshop will take place from 10 am until 4 pm and is limited to 8 attendees. The cost is only £85; standard adult entry to LWC is not included in the price and will need to be paid separately on arrival at the Centre.
